I never walk into the Clothes Less Traveled without finding something...
My spouse popped a bowl on our dining room table the other day - it matched the colors but looked lost on the long table. We both agree it needed something under it to set it off and make it look like it 'fit'.
I walked into the store that afternoon to volunteer, glanced in the linen area to see what might be there and voila, the perfect lace doily was sitting right there waiting for me. The color pulls out the burgundy tints in the bowl perfectly. It was just like someone knew I needed it and donated it. It was only 50 cents, too. Can't beat that!
A few days later I stopped by for a meeting. As I passed through the back into the main door something glinted in the sun and caught my eye. Someone had just donated a container chocked full of earrings and it was laying there, waiting for me.
I got it as it hit the floor.
It must have had 30 earrings in the container ranging from cute for kids to cool for adults. I now have some awesome gifts for all my nieces when they come visit! They love going through my jewelry and I always try to give them something.
And what's really cool is that I paid less for all those earrings than I normally pay for one pair. What a deal.
You never know what you'll find when you walk in the store. People are always donating their treasures knowing they're helping multitudes of charities in the south metro area. From minute to minute the offerings in the store change.
I've learned the hard way that if I see something I want I should grab it! A few times I've thought I could come back the next day after thinking about it only to find that someone had grabbed "MY" treasure!
